From textile innovation to Olympic glory, EXO has pioneered surface
nanotechnology that continues to transform human performance across sports.
Leading EXO's innovation is Luc Bouckaert, whose two decades of breakthrough technology development has redefined performance across Olympic and professional sports.
our founder story
Everything changed when Speedo approached Luc to join their development team, recognizing his unique expertise in textile surfaces.
Working with Speedo's Technology Team and Otago University, he proved that by amalgamating chemistry and physics, he could
revolutionize swimsuit performance.
The result? A swimsuit so fast, it was banned.
Success in swimming opened new doors. Working with the British Olympic Development Team and Stanford University, Luc's expertise expanded to pursue cycling, skeleton, luge, and ski jumping. His 3D surface nanotechnology improved athlete performance through optimized compression, grip, traction, and vibration control.
"By improving a competitor's comfort and control by just a few milliseconds, we give them the confidence over the competition to not only win but to break records!"
Today, through EXO, Luc's vision extends to developing the next generation of surface nanotechnology, transforming everyday apparel into high-performance wearable tech, with every advancement verified by independent biomechanical and aerodynamic experts.
The revolution began with swimming. Working alongside NASA and leading professors, Luc developed breakthrough nanotechnology that transformed competitive performance.
